Soutlasi is an inspiring individual with a clear vision for creating positive change in her country. As a final-year student majoring in International Relations, she possesses a strong understanding of global issues and their intersections with local contexts. Her desire to break the cycle of young marriage and empower youth and women demonstrates her commitment to social progress and gender equality. By aspiring to be a role model and embracing diversity, she is poised to make a meaningful impact in her community and beyond. Currently, she is actively involved in several impactful projects and initiatives. One example is her role as the Alumni Coordinator at Lone Buffalo (English Center), where she facilitates engagement and collaboration among former students. These engagements allow her to apply her skills in leadership, collaboration, and youth advocacy to make meaningful contributions to the community and beyond.
Omlas Project: Empowerment through Physical Leadership Training in Rural Laos with a mission “To create a positive impact on young people and break the cycle of early marriage.” Her project focuses on empowering young people with essential life skills for confident and resilient navigation through life. She aims to cultivate personal growth and career development through a mentorship program, financial literacy workshops, and entrepreneurship training. Health and wellness seminars promote physical and mental well-being, while community engagement projects foster social responsibility. Networking events and online learning resources offer career exploration and skill enhancement opportunities. Leadership retreats and camps also provide hands-on experiences to build leadership skills and boost confidence. Together, these initiatives aim to equip youth with the tools they need to thrive personally and professionally. She will be contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals; SDG 4: Quality education and well being (Target 4.7), SDG 5: Gender Equality (Target 5.3).
